Why hosts pick browser-only
The first two minutes decide whether a live game lands. Every install prompt, permission dialog and password reset in those minutes costs you players — and the people it costs are exactly the ones you most want included: the colleague on a locked-down work laptop who cannot install anything, the guest whose phone has no storage left, the grandparent at the wedding who has never used an app store.
Browser-only join means corporate and school devices work without IT permission, old phones work alongside new ones, and a room full of strangers is playing before the energy dips. Hosts running corporate events and classrooms tell us this one property is why they switched.

Do players need to download an app?

What devices does it work on?
Any device with a modern browser: iPhone, Android, tablets, laptops, desktops — Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox are all supported. Mixed rooms of old and new devices work fine together.
Does it work on locked-down work or school devices?
Yes — because nothing installs, players on corporate or school devices without app-install permissions can join like anyone else. If the browser works, the game works.
How many players can join free?
Up to 25 players per game on the free plan, with every game type included and no credit card required. Paid plans raise the cap to 50, 200 or 500.
