A Holiday Trivia Game for Every Party, From Halloween to New Year's
Trivia Anywhere is a holiday trivia game you run live: questions go on a TV, projector or shared Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet screen, and guests answer on their own phones with no app download. Scoring and the leaderboard run themselves. It's free for up to 25 players, with ready-made Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve games. Starter ($20/month) adds four painted holiday scenes and your logo on every screen.

Who it's for
Holiday trivia for work, family and your regulars

Hosting tips
How to run holiday trivia people talk about
- Not everyone at a work party celebrates the same holidays. Mix rounds like holidays around the world, food and films, and keep religion out of the questions; a comfortable room is a louder room.
- Make teams of four to six and mix departments or tables on purpose. Small teams keep everyone talking, and mixing means the new hires don't end up as a team of strangers in the corner.
- Start the game about 45 minutes into the evening, once people have food and a drink but before the room splits into small groups or people start heading home. Plan on roughly a minute per question, including the answer reveal and the banter.
- Prizes don't need a budget: first pick in the gift exchange, a trophy that moves to the winning team's desks for a year, or bragging rights read out at the next all-hands. Announce the prize before question one so the room plays for it.
- Mixed ages at a family gathering? Pair a kid with a grandparent on each team and open with films and songs. An easy, familiar first round keeps the youngest players in it.
- On a video call, ask people to keep the call open on their laptop and answer on their phone, so the question stays on the shared screen while they tap. Read each question aloud for anyone on a small screen.
FAQ
Holiday trivia questions, answered
Is there a free holiday trivia game for work?
Yes. Trivia Anywhere is free for up to 25 players per game, with 3 saved games you can replay as often as you like and no credit card to start. The ready-made Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve games copy in one click; the four painted seasonal scenes are on the Starter plan, and the year-round Game Show Studio scene is free.
Can guests play holiday trivia on their phones without an app?
Yes. Players join in their phone's web browser at triviaanywhere.com/play with the join code, or by scanning the QR code on the big screen. They don't need an account, and players never pay.
How do I run holiday trivia as a virtual holiday party game on Zoom or Microsoft Teams?
Share the presenter screen in your Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet call, and players join on their phones with the join code. The questions show on the shared screen while answers, scoring and the leaderboard happen live.
How many people can play?
Up to 25 players per game on the free plan, 50 on Starter ($20/month), 200 on Pro ($45/month) and 500 on Business ($89/month), which also includes 3 hosts on one account.
What are the holiday trivia scenes?
They are painted big-screen scenes for trivia games: the lobby, each question, the answer reveal and the winners podium all take place inside one illustrated setting, with your questions and players' names on boards in the scene. There are four seasonal scenes on Starter (Holiday Village, Haunted Manor Party, Thanksgiving Dinner and New Year's Gala), plus the year-round Game Show Studio, free for everyone. Players' phones get matching art and themed answer buttons.
Can I try a holiday scene before I pay?
Yes. Free hosts can preview any seasonal scene on their own game in the Logo & Colors studio. Keeping it for your game needs the Starter plan, $20/month or $200/year.
Can I run inclusive holiday trivia at work, not just Christmas?
Yes. You choose the questions, and this page has 15 inclusive ones covering Hanukkah, Diwali, Kwanzaa, Lunar New Year, St. Lucia Day and more. For the look, Holiday Village is a snowy Christmas village with a toy workshop and a big tree; for a scene with no holiday theme, use the free Game Show Studio.
Can I use my own holiday trivia questions and answers?
Yes. Copy a ready-made game and edit it, write your own questions, add images, or upload a CSV. This page also has 15 inclusive holiday trivia questions with answers you can type in or read out.
Can I add my company logo?
Yes, on Starter and up. Your logo, colors, backgrounds and fonts appear on every screen, and in a seasonal scene your logo appears on a sign in the scene.
How long does a holiday trivia game take?
You decide. Each ready-made holiday game has 10 questions, and you can add more or play two games back to back. Plan on roughly a minute per question, including the reveal, so a 10-question game fits a 10 to 15 minute slot.
Is this holiday trivia for adults or kids?
Both. Every scene is family-friendly, and you choose the questions, so you can pitch a set at a grown-up office crowd or a family living room.
